1. General information
Participants are expected to submit abstracts in English online or by e-mail – to the Conference Secretariat at contact@pt-conf.org, by 30th January, 2015. The online form for submission of abstracts is available upon Pre-registration as a participant. You will receive by e-mail a paper code for your contribution, which we kindly ask you to safely keep and to use as reference.
Abstracts will be reviewed and the final decision whether a paper will be presented orally or as a poster belongs to the International Advisory Committee. Notification of acceptance will be no later than 27th February, 2015.
Accepted authors are requested to submit on-line (see Login/Submission) or by e-mail at contact@pt-conf.org electronic versions of full manuscripts of their papers in English or Romanian by 5th June 2015.
The manuscripts shall be sent in DOC format (Microsoft Word) for publication in the Conference Proceedings volume. Final version of the papers should be submitted to the Conference Secretariat on-line (see Login/Submission) or by e-mail at contact@pt-conf.org no later than 5th June 2015.
2. Guidelines for the Preparation of the papers
Please download Instructions.doc to prepare the full length paper and the sample lay-out Example.doc.
Paper should be named as follows:
family name of the first author_theme code_O(for orally)_paper code.doc
family name of the first author_theme code_P(for poster)_paper code.doc
(e.g. Coarna_PTS_O_P0016.doc for an oral presentation with the theme "Proficiency testing schemes"; Bratu_VTM_P_P0101.doc for a poster presentation with the theme " Validation of testing methods").

3. Guidelines for Section Chairs
Section chairs should manage their sections as follows: introduction of those that will present their papers; ensuring in collaboration with a co-chairman that the allocated time for presentations is respected; encouragement discussions on the specific section theme.
4. Guidelines for Poster Presenters
General
Poster presentations offer participants an unique opportunity to present their work in a format, for which there is more time for discussion and questions than is sometimes available in a Plenary lectures session. Poster submissions are welcomed in any of the areas identified in the conference themes. Poster presentations will be held in the Exhibit Area at City Business Centre building D -Timisoara, Romania.
Surface availability
Each poster presenter is allocated its own surface: 120 cm high x 90 cm wide and a number (see the POSTERS section in the Conference final programme).
Setup
Authors may begin mounting their posters at 09:00 on Wednesday, 16th September 2015, and should be completed by 16:15, in order to be ready for the start of the poster session, that day. The posters should remain in place until tear-down on Friday, 18th September 2015, 17:30.
You will receive the required materials from the organizers.
Viewing schedule
According with the Conference final programme.
5. Guidelines for Speakers
General
Oral scientific sessions, including Plenary sessions will be held in the City Business Centre building D - Timisoara, Romania.
Available technology
Video-projectors with attached notebooks will be available. Using participants’ own notebook is not allowed. Save your presentation to a USB Storage Device or CD-ROM and bring it with you.
Speakers using PowerPoint presentations who have not yet handed in their presentations or updated versions on USB or CD, are kindly asked to do so at the registration desk staff by the end of 1st coffee break.
Schedule
On account of the tight schedule, the conference organisers would kindly like to ask you to respect the time limit for contributions. The organisers would like to encourage the contributors to limit presentations (including discussions) to the following times:
Invited lecture: 20 minutes according with the Conference final programme.
Other presentation: 15 minutes according with the Conference fianl programme.
Speakers are kindly requested to inform their section chair during the coffee break about their presence.
Preparation for the PowerPoint presentation
The presentation must be provided on a Microsoft Windows – compatible system. The Macintosh – format is not supported by the available notebooks. Try to avoid overloading your presentation with unnecessary images. We only supply fonts that are included in the basic installation of Windows. Using special fonts might be displayed incorrectly.
Note:
For movies please do not forget to put on your USB Storage Device or CD-ROM your own movies in the same folder with your presentation.
