The 5th International Proficiency Testing Conference 2015 will be held at the at City Business Centre building D,(number 1 on the map) - #10, Coriolan Brediceanu street, Timisoara(near Historical Center).
2. How to get to the conference
2.1 By Air
The city is served by Romania's second-largest airport, Traian Vuia International Airport (http://www.aerotim.ro/index.php?pg=orarzboruri), located 12 km away from the city centre. There are regular flights from/to numerous major European and domestic destinations:

The recommended route from Bucharest to Timisoara is:
Bucharest – Pitesti – Ramnicu Valcea – Sibiu – Deva – Lugoj - Timisoara

2.3 By train
Timisoara North is the main train station(Gara Timisoara Nord) - 2 km from downtown(see the chart bellow – tram lines no. 1).
There are daily trains from/to Budapest (approximate journey time – 5 hours), and Vienna (approximate journey time – 8 ½ hours).
Trains to other western European cities run via Budapest.
There are also numerous trains to Bucharest and most major towns in Romania

2.4 Public Transportation
Several bus (autobuz), tram (tramvai) and trolleybus (troilebuz) routes connect Timisoara's main areas and tourist attractions. The public transportation system runs between 4:45 am and 11:15 pm. Tickets must be purchased beforehand and validated in the ticket-stamping machine upon boarding. Tickets are interchangeable for all three forms of transport with the exception of express buses.

Eastern European Time (Romanian time +2 GMT).
Currency
The local currency is Romanian Lei. The exchange rates were aprox. 1 EUR = 4.5-4.6 Lei and 1 US$ = 3.2-3.3 lei (the real exchange rate will be known not far of the conference date). For various transactions and money exchange, we strongly recommend that you contact only authorized institutions, such as banks or exchange offices. Foreign exchange facilities are available at the international airports, in the railway stations, and in most hotels in Bucharest and Timisoara. Bank opening hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, closed on weekends. Visitors are advised to bring cash with them, or to exchange some money when entering the country. Credit cards (VISA, MasterCard) and Traveller's Cheques are accepted by most banks.
Language
Whilst Romanian (a Latin family language) is spoken throughout Romania, you will easily find English speakers. Most of the hotel and restaurant staff speaks English.
